Albany, NY – With 17 years of coaching experience, Tommy Bourgeois brings a deep commitment to player development, team 
culture, and long-term growth. He spent 12 years coaching within the East Greenbush program and the past 5 years with Alleycats, while also expanding into futsal coaching over the last 3 years to further develop players’ technical ability and decision-making in tight spaces. He holds a US Soccer “D” License along with his Grassroots 11v11 certification. “We are excited to have Tommy joining the technical staff for the 2026/27 campaign,” said Academy Director Steve Freeman. “Tommy brings experience, energy and a desire to continue to grow as a coach and youth soccer leader.”
At the core of Tommy’s philosophy is aligned with our Club’s and is a genuine passion for working with young athletes. He is dedicated to helping players grow in confidence, develop their skills, and discover their full potential—both on and off the field. Having coached the same team for four consecutive years, he values the long-term development process and takes pride in guiding players through meaningful progression over time.
Known for building strong, lasting relationships, Bourgeois views his players and their families as an extension of his own. He believes that trust, communication, and connection are essential to a successful experience, especially for families making an investment in their child’s development.
Understanding that every player learns differently, he takes an individualized approach—meeting each athlete where they are and providing the tools, knowledge, and support they need to succeed. He prioritizes clear communication and transparency, ensuring that players and parents feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the journey.
