Albany, NY – The BWP Football Academy Girls U15/16s – 2010/11s have climbed to the top of the EDP North Atlantic Upstate League standings following an outstanding run of form that has showcased the group’s growth, consistency, and commitment throughout the spring season. The team’s recent results have propelled them into first place, marking a significant
achievement for a squad that continues to develop and compete at a high level.
The BWP FA Girls U15/16s – 2010/11s have established themselves as one of the league’s most organized and disciplined teams. Their success has been built on a strong defensive foundation, intelligent possession play, and a collective team mentality that has seen players contribute throughout the roster. The team’s rise to the top of the table reflects the hard work displayed during training sessions and match days alike. Players have embraced the BWP Football Academy’s development model, demonstrating continuous improvement in technical ability, tactical understanding, and competitive mentality.
“This group has shown tremendous commitment to their development and to one another,” said Academy Director Steve Freeman. “Their progress throughout the season has been excellent, and reaching first place is a reflection of the work they put in every week. What has impressed us most is their willingness to learn, compete, and play for each other.” The achievement also highlights the continued growth of the BWP FA girls pathway. As the BWP Football Academy expands opportunities for female players throughout the Capital Region, the U15/16s have become an example of what can be accomplished through consistent training, high standards, and a player-centered development environment. “We are super excited about what our girls have shown us is possible,” stated Freeman. “We are expanding our Girls program to include the Girls Pre-Academy – U10/11s & U12s as well as Academy age

With two league matches still remaining, the focus now shifts toward maintaining standards and continuing to improve as the team 
enters the decisive stretch of the season. The players understand that every match presents a new challenge, but their performances thus far have demonstrated both the quality and character necessary to compete for league honors. The BWP FA Girls U15/16s –
2010/11s programming runs through mid-July which is another important distinction and differentiator when comparing club programming in the region.
