Albany, NY – BWP Football Academy welcomed Select SC North from Massachusetts to Christian Brothers Academy Albany for a three-match slate of ECNL Regional League matches this weekend, while the BWP FA Girls U15/16 side earned an impressive 3-0 victory over Albany Rush SC in EDP North Atlantic League play.
The ECNL RL matches provided another important weekend of high-level competition for BWP Football Academy’s boys program, as the club
continued its commitment to developing players in a demanding and competitive environment. Across all age groups, BWP FA sides faced a strong and organized Select SC North club, with players challenged both technically and tactically throughout the day at CBA Albany.

The weekend also showcased the continued growth of the BWP FA girls pathway, highlighted by the BWP FA U15/16 girls squad’s strong performance against Albany Rush SC brings their overall league record to 3-0-0. BWP FA controlled the tempo from the opening whistle, combining disciplined defending with sharp attacking play to secure the clean-sheet victory.

The result reflects the continued progress and development within the BWP FA girls program as the team competes in the EDP North Atlantic League. “Our girls continue to demonstrate growth in their play and understanding of our game model,” stated Academy Director and Head Coach Steve Freeman.
Club leadership and coaching staff emphasized the importance of meaningful competition environments as BWP Football Academy continues building standards across both the boys and girls platforms. The weekend at CBA Albany once again highlighted the academy’s focus on long-term player development, professionalism, and competitive growth.
