Albany, NY – BWP Football Academy has reached a new multi-year agreement with St. Ambrose School in Latham to utilize the school’s athletic fields as part of the Academy’s continued growth and long-term development strategy throughout the Capital Region. The partnership provides BWP Football Academy with additional high-quality training and match environments while further strengthening the Academy’s commitment to creating sustainable player development infrastructure for youth soccer players and families across the region.
Located in the heart of Latham, the St. Ambrose School athletic facilities will support a variety of BWP Football Academy programming including team training sessions, grassroots development programs, camps, clinics, and small-sided match play throughout the calendar year. “This agreement is another important step forward for BWP Football Academy as we continue to 
expand our programming and create more consistent environments for player development,” said Academy Director Steve Freeman. “We are grateful for the partnership with St. Ambrose School and excited about the opportunity to bring more football activity and positive community engagement to the campus.”
The agreement comes during a period of continued growth for BWP Football Academy, which has expanded both its competitive platform and developmental programming across boys and girls pathways. BWP FA continues to focus on creating accessible, high-level football environments while building long-term partnerships within the Capital Region community.
The St. Ambrose location will help provide additional field capacity for the Academy’s growing membership while supporting training standards and operational flexibility throughout the year. The site has an 11v11 pitch, a mini pitch for GK training and 9v9 pitch that can be converted to two 7v7 pitches. It will be one of our home sites for the BWP FA Girls Pre-Academy and Boys Pre-ECNL Academy for players ages 9-11 – U10/11s and U12s.
BWP Football Academy leadership noted that partnerships such as this are essential to the long-term sustainability and growth of youth football in the region.
“As the game continues to grow, access to quality facilities becomes increasingly important,” Freeman added. “This partnership allows us to continue investing into the player experience while supporting our long-term vision for football development in the Capital Region.” BWP Football Academy is expected to begin programming at the St. Ambrose School fields immediately as preparations continue for upcoming summer and fall programming cycles.
