Albany, NY – BWP Football Academy traveled to the Philadelphia region over Memorial Day weekend with six teams competing in the prestigious 27th Annual FC DELCO Players Cup, one of the nation’s premier youth soccer tournaments. 
Hosted annually by FC DELCO, the tournament attracts top clubs from across the United States and Canada, creating a highly competitive environment for elite youth players and teams. The three-day event has become one of the most respected showcases on the East Coast, featuring strong competition and high-level match experiences across all age groups.
BWP FA’s participation reflected the Club’s continued commitment to placing players in challenging environments that support both individual growth and collective team development. BWP FA was represented across multiple age groups as players competed against some of the top regional and national opposition throughout the holiday weekend. “This is an outstanding opportunity for our players and staff to compete in one of the country’s premier tournament environments,” said BWP Football Academy, Academy Director Steve Freeman. “Events like the FC DELCO Players Cup continue to challenge our players, expose them to high-level competition, and support the overall development process within our academy.”
For many players, the weekend also presents an important opportunity to gain experience in pressure-filled matches while 
continuing to build confidence, resilience, and tactical understanding against quality opposition. Older age groups additionally benefited from the showcase atmosphere with college coaches and scouts in attendance throughout the event. Matches took place across multiple venues throughout the greater Philadelphia area from May 23-25, with BWP FA teams competing and continuing to build momentum during an important stretch of the spring season. The Club competed in 16 matches. Goal differential for each age group:

BWP FA finished the weekend with 5Ws 4Ds 7Ls and an overall goal differential -1.
