Dylan Martin, a dedicated soccer coach with a strong foundation as a former NCAA Division I goalkeeper at Drexel University, has rejoined his boyhood club as the new Director of Goalkeeping. After four years of competing at the collegiate level, Martin transitioned into coaching, starting with the Colonie High School Freshman Team and then leading the Colonie U12 Travel Team.
“Reuniting with Dylan is a tremendous value-add for our Club, our players, and our families. He knows and understands our way, how we work, how we operate, and what we try to deliver to our players,” stated Academy Director Steve Freeman.
Throughout his playing and coaching career, he has had the opportunity to train goalkeepers of all ages, focusing on developing their shot-stopping, positioning, and decision-making skills. Dylan’s coaching philosophy aligns with the Club’s core values as he combines his playing experience with a passion for community, competitiveness, and a love for the game at every level.
“I’m excited to step in as Director of Goalkeeping at BlackWatch, where I can continue to grow as a coach and support goalkeepers in reaching their full potential,” stated Martin.
