[Lisbon, Portugal] – [June 13, 2025] – BWP Football Academy is proud to announce the appointment of former professional footballer Ricardo 
Vaz Tê as Technical Director for the upcoming 2025/26 season. The Portuguese forward, known for his dynamic playing career across Europe and Asia, brings a wealth of international experience and a deep passion for player development.
Vaz Tê, who played for clubs including Bolton Wanderers, West Ham United, and Akhisar Belediyespor, will support the Academy’s technical staff and create feedback loops impacting player development. He will also play a key role in designing and implementing player development programs to elevate the Academy’s performance pathway including expanding the Club’s futsal programming.

Holding a UEFA B – DFB Coaching License, Vaz Tê has transitioned into coaching with a strong focus on technical development and performance mindset. His new role will also include mentoring Academy coaches and working closely with players to refine their tactical understanding and technical execution through feedback sessions during match analysis during film study.
